LOREN MARSTERS

A Vietnam veteran and graduate of Cal-State-Northridge in Southern California, his 30-year advertising career was highlighted by creating award winning television and radio commercials. Clients included FedEx, Southern California Edison, the National Safety Council, Toyota, Ameri-Trade.com, Heineken, and Anheuser-Busch. Marsters made the jump to playwriting in 2000. His first work: A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NIGHT AT A DANCE - a comedy about life in a singles dating group, toured throughout the southwest for three years. CLOSING CREDITS: An Evening with Frank Capra; a play he wrote with a long-time friend, George Morgan,  made its world premiere in Riverside, California and played to full houses and standing ovations its entire run. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE THE MUSICAL? his first musical,  was the result of being approached by a domestic violence prevention organization. His off-the-wall, almost carnival like take on the subject matter would get the attention of the U.S. Military; and for the next 10 years the show would tour Navy, Marine, and Air Force bases, as well as Army posts, nationally and internationally. In 2018, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE THE MUSICAL?  made its world premiere to a general audiences in Las Vegas, Nevada.BACK IN THE WORLD, is his latest musical, stage work in progress. It will tell the story of three Marine Vietnam vets, and their wives, getting together to celebrate the Marine Corps birthday and reflect on the war, and the war at home. Loren’s talent with words is not limited to just the stage. His first book, THE REDEMPTION OF LONNIE TATE – co-written with Gus Koernig, is an espionage novel recently published by Golden Alley Press. A member of the Dramatist Guild, Loren and his wife, Kristina live in Mesa, Arizona. Between them they have six children.
