Art for Veterans
Alumnus Charles Evered, the son of a World War II veteran and the father of a U.S. Naval Sea Cadet, is establishing an artist residency near Joshua Tree National Park, Southern California. The Evered House, dedicated to his father, will be for military veterans and those who have served in conflict zones. Evered NCAS’97, a former U.S. Navy Reservist who also studied playwriting at Yale, is a writer and director who benefited from an artist residency, giving him the idea for founding the Evered House, which will provide a range of facilities for artists of all kinds.
