Evered House Newsletter 12
Evered House Press
MAY 25, 2021
Dear Friends of the House,
John Evered and I just finished closing the house up for the summer. We’re thankful that John has been on the West Coast this year, and that he’s been able to work on site with us.
We look forward to welcoming Dan Lin as an intern this summer. Great to have you on board, Dan!
Special thanks also to so many of you that have been there for the house this year, including Raymond Pinglora III, Kim Waltrip, Mel Smith, Kit from Montana, Ava Gaul, Yan Tkach, Marty and Joyce James, Kirk Geiger, Loren Marsters, Chris Palmeri, Griffin Wade, Sharon Rose, Ken and MaryLou Schneider, Bill Bauman, Tom Cronin, Nick and Marcia Brooks and Margaret Evered.
With this newsletter, in our FIFTH year, we take note of the many challenges we’ve had—and how fortunate we are to still be here. But, even with those challenges—besides being able to host some amazing residents—we managed to get a lot done infrastructure wise, including: finishing the outdoor stage, dedicating the founder’s plaque, constructing the fire pit, replacing our washing machine, replacing our refrigerator, replacing our water heater, building permanent benches outside, assembling a great new website, updating the outdoor shed, shooting new drone footage for our intro video, hosting virtual as well as in person tours, constructing a walkway around the house and carving out our “meditation path,” as well as many, MANY other projects.
We’re thankful for all of you who have supported us and kept us going.
We’ll pick up this newsletter again in October, when we’ll have even more news to share with you!
In the meanwhile, will you please continue to spread word about the house and its mission?
Please help us sign up more people to our “200 Campaign,” as we continue our goal of signing up 200 individuals willing to make a recurring donation of $10 a month. To those of you that are already part of the campaign, we THANK YOU with our whole heart, because it’s your generosity that has literally kept us going.
Signing up for the campaign is fast and easy. Here’s how:
